Who: Flight1 and Jet Linx
What: Fundraiser and Homebrew Competition
When: September 15th 6:00-8:00 PM
Where: Indy Executive Airport, 11329 E. State Road 32, Zionsville, IN 46077
Why: Join Flight1 at Indy Executive airport to raise money for a good cause and have a little friendly competition. Flight1 is an Indianapolis based charitable organization which builds confidence in children affected by serious health challenges.
Since the goal of this event is to have fun while raising money for Flight1’s charity efforts, the attendee – rather than a panel of judges – will determine the winners. Each attendee will be given five (5) tickets which they can use to vote for their favorite beer or beers at the event. The competitors will be in attendance and on hand to discuss all things beer-related and to exchange technical and sensory evaluations of the entries. All proceeds from the event (both general admission tickets and competition entry fees) go directly from the donators (attendees) /competitors to Flight1. Neither the Indy Executive airport, sponsors of the event, nor the competitors will receive any consideration or payment.
General Admission Tickets: All attendees seeking entry to the event must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older and present valid identification. No exceptions. General admission tickets will be limited to the first one hundred (100) tickets sold. There is a strict no refund policy. You may have another person go in your place if they are over twenty-one (21) years of age. The cost for one general admission ticket is $50. There is no charge for Designated Drivers.
Competition Entry Fee: All competitors must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older and present valid identification. No exceptions. There will be a maximum of thirty (30) competitors. The competition entry fee gets you general admission to the event along with your entry into the competition and admission to the Tune on the Tarmac concert, with Vance Gilbert on the same evening.
Competition Format and Rules:
- Each competitor shall bring a minimum of one gallon of beer to serve at the competition, although two gallons of beer are suggested (remember people aren’t likely to vote for a beer they haven’t tasted, so you don’t want to run out). Competitors shall not sell or offer for sale any alcoholic beverage at the event.
- Each beer will be dispensed solely by the competitor. Beer can be brought to the competition in bottles, growlers, or kegs. Ice tubs will be provided for bottles and growlers. If competitors bring kegs, they must supply their own dispensing system.
- The first place brewer will be recognized at the Tune on the Tarmac concert and will be awarded a cash prize of $200.
- Each competitor expressly permits and authorizes Flight1, Indy Executive airport, and/or any sponsors of the event to use the names, likenesses, pictures, voices, audio and video recordings, and biographical information of the respective competitors and their beers in any manner whatsoever except as prohibited unless by law.
