All this month, we have been telling you about our first three Courageous Fliers to go through the entire Flight1 program. I hope you have had a chance to read about Grace, Tommy, and Shawn in our blog posts, and to understand what the support of Flight1 has meant to them.

We decided to call our fall fundraising drive “Help Me Fly” because these kids want other Indiana youths whose families have been affected by serious health challenges to have the same opportunity they had to build confidence through flight. Our three original Courageous Fliers benefited from the Flight1 program, and it is 100% because of the support of our donor base.

We have a goal of helping 100 kids like Grace a year. We’d like to see 100 smiles like Tommy’s, as he came in for a landing the first time. We know that there are a 100 kids like Shawn who could use a confidence-builder. We can’t reach 100 families like these unless we have the help of local people like you.

In the next few weeks, I’m asking for that help. Click on the “Donate” button on this e-mail or on our website, and commit to whatever you can- $10 a month, $1,000 to sponsor a child for a year, or anything in between. We will be on Facebook and Twitter all of next week, giving you more opportunities to make a pledge.

I am excited for the next year, to meet our next group of Courageous Fliers, and to know that we are making a difference in their lives, just as Grace, Tommy, and Shawn’s lives were changed by Flight. I hope you will join us. There is another group of kids out there, hoping you will “Help Me Fly.”

Sincerely,

Caroline Hoy
