2012 Indianapolis Air Show

As one of the organizers of the 2012 Indianapolis Air Show described it as, “Pure Americana”, I have to agree. From the P-51 of the Tuskegee Airmen and the F-16 fighters of the Air Force Thunderbirds, to the R/C Planes and rocket school bus this show was nothing less than an all American outing.

Despite temperature over 90F there were over 80,000 people who attended the two day event and Flight1 was fortunate enough to be a part of it.

With the help of many great volunteers, we handed out Flight1 stickers and helped over 300 kids build FPG-9 gliders. Over the two days we met nearly 600 people and talked of the mission of Flight1.

In addition to participating in the show, we were able to provide air show tickets to the families of 17 children in the Flight1 program.
Not only was it a great show but, for Flight1 and its families, it was a great success.
